We are so excited to offer Deri Kochoha for a second time in two years. This coffee always showcases why Guji is one the loveliest places on earth that produces coffee (well at least in our mind!). This coffee comes from Hagere Mariam, inside the Guji Zone of Sidamo. 600 farmers contribute to this crop, producing around 2 containers / year (thats roughly about 26,000 lbs of coffee). They use a traditional processing method in Guji - disk pulper to remove the cherry and a 72 hour fermentation. Normally, with coffees like this you would lose a lot of sweetness and gain more body with longer fermentation times. In this coffee we get notes of rose and soft florals like magnolia on the nose, the body is tart and sweet like currants, and the finish is sweet and tropical, we think coconut, mango, and papaya.
